Current Status: Mocrocks Beach is currently in its normal summer closure. Razor clamming is permitted only during specific openings approved by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
2026 Season Timeline:
- Spring 2026: The spring digging season concluded in May.
- Summer: Beaches remain closed to razor-clam harvesting while clam populations spawn and grow.
- Fall and Winter: WDFW normally announces proposed digging dates later in the year. Tentative dates remain subject to marine-toxin testing and final approval.
License Requirement: Every digger age 15 or older must carry a valid Washington fishing or shellfish license. Annual and short-term license options are available.
Always verify the approved beach, date and digging hours directly with WDFW before traveling.
